Job summary

ALPLA Group in Turkey is seeking an Import/Export Operations specialist to manage orders, shipments, and customs documentation. You will coordinate with suppliers, logistics providers, and Finance to ensure on-time delivery and accurate invoicing. The role requires strong English, onboarding in an international context, and attention to detail.

You will work closely with planning, sales, and finance to optimize transportation and clearance processes in a dynamic global environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in International Trade or related field.
• Experience in import/export operations and customs procedures.
• Strong English for international communication and reporting.
• Analytical, organized and able to multitask with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Record import orders and follow shipments from order to delivery.
• Coordinate estimated arrival dates with suppliers and logistics providers.
• Track vessel schedules and shipment status in systems.
• Coordinate payments with Finance and Accounting.
• Obtain and evaluate freight offers and organize transportation.
• Provide weekly planning updates on arrivals and delays.
• Manage customs docs and liaise with brokers through clearance.
• Inform Finance about import duties and payment processes.
• Coordinate delivery of cleared goods to plants.
• Check import invoices and raise claims when necessary.
• Export: organize road/air/sea transport per orders and terms.
• Prepare export invoices and shipping documents.
• Coordinate export declarations with customs brokers.
• Send shipping docs and estimated arrival info to customers.

• Preparing export invoices and required shipping documents.


• Coordinating export declarations and documentation with customs brokers.


• Sending shipping documents and estimated arrival information to customers and managing revisions.


• Arranging courier shipment of original documents and sharing tracking information.


• Checking export invoices and raising claims when necessary.

General Foreign Trade Operations

• Managing application and closure processes of Inward Processing Authorization Certificates (DİİB).


• Maintaining regular communication with customs brokers, suppliers and logistics providers.

What makes you great

• Bachelor's degree, preferably in International Trade, Business Administration, Economics, Logistics or related fields.


• Experience in import/export operations, customs procedures and international logistics.


• Advanced English skills for international communication and reporting.


• Strong analytical, problem-solving and follow-up skills.


• Detail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple processes simultaneously.


• Strong communication and coordination skills.


• Good knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.


• Knowledge of DİİB processes and relevant certifications/training is an advantage.
