Job summary

Infina is seeking a Director of Engineering – Core Platforms to lead engineering teams, set the technical roadmap, and modernize core platforms. You will collaborate with Product and Architecture to deliver high-availability systems, guide the move from monolith to microservices, and ensure security and regulatory compliance.

The role requires deep hands-on expertise in the Java ecosystem, distributed systems, and large-scale platform modernization in a regulated domain, with strong stakeholder

Qualifications

• 15+ years in software engineering.
• 5+ years leading engineering teams.
• Strong stakeholder-management & communication skills.
• Experience building high-availability, business-critical systems (financial services preferred).
• Hands-on distributed systems and microservices experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering teams end to end: people, delivery, production health.
• Own the technical roadmap for modernizing core platforms with Product & Architecture.
• Shape integration architecture between core systems and implement it across teams.
• Guide the monolith-to-microservices transition without disrupting operations.
• Establish engineering standards: automated testing, runbooks, capacity planning, epic estimation.
• Drive responsible AI-assisted development with security and code-review guardrails.
• Ensure delivery meets regulatory and security requirements.
