Job summary

Rapsodo, Inc. is seeking a Platform Architect to lead the evolution of our backend, frontend, and mobile ecosystem into a scalable, unified platform.

You will define architectural standards, drive modernization, and shape the technical foundation powering the next generation of Rapsodo products. You will mentor engineers, lead architecture reviews, and contribute hands-on coding while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve platform scalability, observability, and operational

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 10+ years as Software Architect or Platform Architect or similar leadership role.
• Proven experience modernizing complex software platforms and transforming monolithic systems into modular architectures.
• Deep understanding of microservices, modular monoliths, SOA, and DDD.
• Backend development experience with Go and/or Node.js; OO languages such as C#, Java, or Kotlin.
• Experience with frontend frameworks like React or Vue; strong full-stack understanding.
• Experience designing scalable APIs, service contracts, auth flows, and distributed systems.
• Hands-on cloud experience with Google Cloud Platform or AWS, Docker, messaging systems, and storage.
• Experience using AI-assisted development tools in engineering workflows.
• Strong database design experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar.
• Ability to balance long-term architectural vision with incremental delivery and business priorities.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and technical leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term platform architecture and modernization roadmap across backend, frontend, and mobile systems.
• Design shared platform services with clear domain boundaries.
• Establish architecture standards, API contracts, ownership models, and scalable integration patterns.
• Lead modernization initiatives using Strangler Fig, feature flags, backward-compatible APIs, and incremental delivery.
• Leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate design, documentation, code reviews, and productivity.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, DevOps, and QA to improve scalability, observability, and operations.
• Mentor engineers, lead architecture/design reviews, and contribute hands-on coding and validation.
• Maintain architectural documentation and governance while promoting best practices across teams.
