Job summary

EPAM Systems, Inc. seeks a Senior Platform Engineer to build and sustain internal platforms that empower dev teams with self-service deployment and streamlined workflows.

You will standardize tools, frameworks, and libraries, drive GenAI and AIOps adoption, and connect diverse development tools to improve platform health and developer experience. You will collaborate across security, operations, and engineering teams to ensure high availability, performance, and reliability while leveraging DORA

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in platform engineering or related roles.
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Infrastructure as code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep; GitOps tools like Flux or ArgoCD.
• Familiarity with Crossplane, Pulumi, and AWS Controllers for Kubernetes.
• Experience with internal developer platforms (Backstage, Humanitec, OpsLevel).
• Knowledge of high availability, multi-data center systems, and hybrid cloud environments.
• Scripting skills in Bash, Shell, or Python.
• Strong English communication (speaking, writing, reading, B2+).

Responsibilities

• Build and support internal platforms enabling self-service deployment and management of apps.
• Create standardized tools, frameworks, and libraries to streamline workflows across teams.
• Lead adoption of GenAI, AI agents, and AIOps to boost productivity and ops.
• Connect development tools and services within the platform ecosystem.
• Improve developer experience via documentation, training, and support.
• Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of platforms using DORA metrics.
• Track emerging technologies to advance platform capabilities.
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams for smooth support.
• Provide guidance to address platform issues and improve system health.
