Job summary

World Ethnosport is seeking an experienced Sports and Games Manager to lead our unit, oversee international sport programmes, and build strong cross-cultural partnerships.

You will manage a team, plan projects, coordinate with federations and organisers, and represent the organisation at international events. Fluency in English is essential; Russian is a plus. This role requires strategic planning, budget oversight, and a proactive, globally minded leadership style.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree is required, preferably in Sport Management, Business Administration, Sports Sciences, or a related field.
• At least five years of professional experience in the sports sector, including international sport management.
• Proven experience in team management, including task allocation, performance monitoring, and staff development.
• Experience in planning and delivering sports events, competitions, or programmes.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is essential. Russian language proficiency is an advantage.
• Experience working with international federations, sports organisations, or multicultural teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and oversee sports and games programmes, competitions, and related international projects.
• Lead the unit’s team, set clear priorities, delegate responsibilities, and monitor performance.
• Develop work plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring timely delivery and accountability.
• Build and maintain relationships with national and international sports federations, governing bodies, public institutions, and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate sporting and technical requirements with organising committees, partners, and relevant internal departments.
• Contribute to the development of competition formats, technical guidelines, and operational procedures.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and official correspondence in English.
• Identify opportunities for international cooperation and the development and promotion of traditional sports and games.
• Represent the organisation professionally at meetings, events, and international engagements.
