Job summary

Corten, a UK-based freight forwarding company, seeks a motivated Freight Forwarding / Logistics Controller for its Istanbul team. The role centers on managing freight operations for the UK market, with daily interactions conducted in English and close coordination with UK colleagues and carriers.

Ideal candidates may have freight forwarding or international logistics experience; junior applicants with strong English and organizational skills will be considered. Full training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Fluent English, both written and spoken, is essential.
• Good organisational and problem-solving abilities are required.
• Strong attention to detail and proficiency with MS Office tools.
• Experience with CargoWise is a significant advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate import and export shipments for the UK market.
• Communicate with UK customers, overseas agents, lines and carriers.
• Monitor progress and provide timely shipment updates.
• Prepare and manage shipping documentation.
• Support day-to-day logistics operations and resolve issues.
• Maintain accurate shipment records and internal reports.
• Collaborate with the UK operations team to ensure service excellence.
