Job summary

Seluz Fragrance & Flavor Company, a dynamic R&D leader in Istanbul, seeks a Fragrance Analyst (GC/MS) to advance analytical understanding of fragrances and raw materials. You will support perfumers and R&D teams with instrumental analysis, quality control, and technical excellence.

You will contribute to building methods, interpreting data, and communicating findings while collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams. This role offers growth in a global, sustainability-focused fragrance platform.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Analytical Chemistry, or related discipline.
• Hands-on experience with GC/MS and chromatographic techniques.
• Strong knowledge of mass-spectral interpretation and analytical chemistry.
• Experience in fragrance, flavors, essential oils, aroma chemicals, cosmetics, or related industries is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with fragrance raw materials and complex mixture analysis is a strong advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Good command of English.
• Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary R&D environment.
• A strong advantage would be previous experience in fragrance analysis, fragrance reconstruction/deformulation, and identification of aroma chemicals using GC/MS.

Responsibilities

• Perform GC/MS analysis of fragrance compositions, essential oils, raw materials, and related samples.
• Interpret chromatographic and mass spectral data and identify fragrance ingredients.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative analysis of complex fragrance matrices.
• Support fragrance reconstruction/deformulation and analytical investigations.
• Build and maintain analytical methods, reference libraries, and databases.
• Collaborate closely with Perfumers, Fragrance R&D, Quality Control, and other technical teams.
• Evaluate analytical results, prepare technical reports, and communicate findings clearly.
• Follow laboratory quality, safety, documentation, and data-integrity standards.
