Job summary

ATA, a global freight forwarding company, is seeking a Sales Manager based in Istanbul/Beykoz to drive new business in air and ocean freight. You will lead prospecting, build relationships with logistics decision-makers and close deals with a strong hunter mentality.

Responsibilities include developing a robust sales pipeline, delivering client-focused freight solutions, and coordinating with operations and overseas offices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of proven sales experience in international freight forwarding, logistics or supply chain.
• Strong track record in Air Freight and Ocean Freight sales.
• Established network of customers in Turkish logistics/forwarding markets is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, target and acquire new customers in the international logistics and freight forwarding market.
• Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline focused on air and ocean freight opportunities.
• Conduct regular customer visits and business development activities across Istanbul and other relevant markets.
• Build long-term relationships with decision-makers in procurement, logistics, supply chain and international trade.
• Understand customers' logistics requirements and develop customized freight and supply chain solutions.
• Prepare proposals, quotations and tenders in coordination with operations and overseas offices.
• Negotiate rates, terms and commercial agreements with customers.
• Achieve agreed sales and gross profit targets.
• Monitor market trends and identify new business opportunities.
• Work with global offices and operations teams to ensure seamless customer experience.
• Maintain accurate customer data in CRM.
• Develop existing accounts through cross-selling and up-selling.
• Represent ATA professionally at meetings and events.
