Engineering Manager

Location: Tekirdağ | On-site

A leading industrial manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to strengthen its engineering capabilities and support its transition toward high-value-added, customer-specific and engineering-driven solutions.

The Role

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for building and leading a strong, data-driven and solution-oriented engineering function across manufacturing operations.

The role will focus on process development, industrialisation, production methods, technical standards, productivity improvement and cross-functional engineering support. The successful candidate will lead the engineering team in developing reliable, efficient and repeatable manufacturing processes that meet increasingly complex customer, quality and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the engineering team by establishing clear responsibilities, measurable objectives and strong technical ownership.
  • Define, standardise and continuously improve manufacturing methods, process parameters, technical standards and operating conditions.
  • Manage the industrialisation of new products, from technical evaluation and feasibility studies through trial production and serial production.
  • Support the development of customer-specific, high-value-added engineering solutions.
  • Establish and maintain standard times, capacity calculations, process flows, work instructions and technical documentation.
  • Improve process capability, dimensional consistency, surface quality, productivity and overall manufacturing reliability.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and implement permanent corrective actions for recurring process, quality and productivity issues.
  • Collaborate closely with Production, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Sales and R&D teams to ensure effective cross-functional problem-solving.
  • Support tooling, equipment and manufacturing technology improvement projects.
  • Identify and implement automation, digitalisation and data analytics opportunities across engineering and production processes.
  • Lead productivity improvement, scrap reduction, energy efficiency, cycle-time optimisation and cost-reduction initiatives.
  • Provide technical input for CAPEX projects, equipment selection, capacity planning and investment feasibility studies.
  • Strengthen engineering discipline through structured problem-solving, effective process control and continuous improvement practices.
  • Ensure engineering activities comply with applicable quality, environmental, occupational health and safety standards.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in engineering, process development, industrialisation or manufacturing, including at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Strong experience in complex, high-volume manufacturing environments.
  • Experience in metal processing, automotive, machinery or a related industrial manufacturing sector is highly preferred.
  • Proven knowledge of process engineering, methods engineering, capacity planning, standard time calculation and continuous improvement.
  • Hands-on knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, PFMEA, control plans, SPC, MSA, DOE and structured problem-solving methodologies.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to translate production data into practical and measurable improvement actions.
  • Experience with ERP systems - preferably SAP and engineering or production management software.
  • Strong leadership, team development, communication and stakeholder-management capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and operationally demanding manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced written and spoken English.
What We Expect

We are looking for a hands-on engineering leader who goes beyond technical documentation, maintains a strong presence on the shop floor, challenges existing practices and transforms operational problems into sustainable solutions.

The ideal candidate will combine technical depth with business awareness, foster strong cooperation across departments and build an engineering culture based on discipline, data, innovation and measurable results.

This is an opportunity to take an active role in developing the engineering capabilities that will shape the future of a well-established and growing industrial organisation.
