Our client is a well-established, global industrial manufacturing company operating in the energy sector, with a strong manufacturing operations serving customers across multiple regions.
As part of its expanding organization, we are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead all manufacturing operations and drive operational performance across the plant.
About the Role
Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all manufacturing operations, ensuring operational excellence, production efficiency, maintenance, and Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) standards.
This position will lead cross-functional teams while driving continuous improvement initiatives and supporting the company's operational and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost targets are achieved.
- Oversee Production, Maintenance, and HSE functions to ensure efficient and sustainable plant operations.
- Drive operational excellence through Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) regulations and promote a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
- Monitor production performance, capacity utilization, productivity, and operational KPIs.
- Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency, quality, and overall plant performance.
- Collaborate closely with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and other cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
- Lead, coach, and develop production and operational teams while fostering a high-performance culture.
- Ensure preventive and corrective maintenance activities support maximum equipment reliability and operational continuity.
- Utilize ERP systems to monitor production performance, resource planning, and operational reporting.
- Support investment projects, process optimization, and operational transformation initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, Manufacturing or related disciplines).
- Minimum 12 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership position.
- Proven experience managing manufacturing operations within multinational industrial companies.
- Strong background in Production, Maintenance, HSE, and People Management.
- Experience leading large operational teams in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Operational Excellence, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement methodologies is highly preferred.
- Hands‑on experience with ERP systems (SAP experience is considered a strong advantage).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Fluent English, both written and spoken.
- Results-oriented, hands‑on leader with strong organizational and people management skills.
