We are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to report directly to the Quality Director of a large-scale industrial manufacturing company whose identity will remain confidential during the initial stages of the recruitment process. This role is responsible for the end-to-end management of quality management systems and incoming, process, final, customer quality activities. The Quality Manager will lead quality performance improvement, strengthen the quality culture across the organization, and contribute to the achievement of the company’s strategic business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Lead the effective implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System,
- Ensure that integrated management systems are effectively managed in line with applicable standards, legal requirements, customer expectations, and company objectives,
- Manage incoming inspection, process quality, and final quality control activities from raw material receipt through to finished products,
- Analyse production non-conformities and lead root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and continuous improvement activities,
- Manage non-conforming products, quarantine, sorting, rework, and disposition processes,
- Manage customer complaints, returns, and quality non-conformities; ensure timely analysis, action planning, follow-up, and customer communication,
- Monitor customer satisfaction indicators and lead improvement initiatives based on performance results,
- Coordinate preparations for internal, customer, and certification body audits,
- Ensure that audit findings and related corrective actions are completed within agreed timelines and that their effectiveness is verified,
- Ensure the effectiveness and continuity of IATF 16949, AS9100, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 27001, ISO 50001, and ISO 10002 management systems,
- Define quality objectives and KPIs; analyse quality performance, cost of poor quality (COPQ), and improvement results, and report them to senior management.
- Ensure that quality documentation, procedures, Control Plans, Quality Plans, and related records remain accurate and up to date,
- Lead quality planning activities for new product and process launches,
- Ensure the effective execution of laboratory, measurement, testing, calibration, and validation activities,
- Develop and implement quality training and awareness programmes to strengthen the quality culture across the organization,
- Ensure that relevant departmental responsibilities regarding Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Management, Information Security, Energy Management, and applicable data protection requirements are fulfilled,
- Lead and develop the quality team, ensuring clear objectives, effective performance management, and continuous capability development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline,
- Minimum 10 years of quality management experience in the automotive, metal, white goods, or a similar industrial manufacturing environment, with proven experience in a managerial or team leadership role,
- Experience in companies supplying parts or components to OEMs is strongly preferred,
- Strong knowledge of establishing, implementing, maintaining, auditing, and continuously improving integrated management systems,
- Extensive knowledge and hands‑on experience in IATF 16949, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems,
- Knowledge of AS9100, ISO 27001, ISO 50001, and ISO 10002 standards is preferred,
- Advanced knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC, Control Plans, Root Cause Analysis, and 8D problem‑solving methodologies,
- Proven experience in incoming, process, final, customer quality management,
- Experience in managing internal, customer and certification audits,
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, material standards, and customer-specific quality requirements,
- Knowledge of laboratory, measurement, testing, calibration, and product validation processes,
- Strong experience in setting quality objectives and KPIs, analysing performance, and reporting results to senior management,
- Proficiency in ERP systems; SAP experience is preferred,
- Fluent written and spoken English,
- Strong leadership, people management, communication, analytical thinking, and problem‑solving skills,
- Ability to work on‑site on the European Side of Istanbul.
