Job summary

Anadolu Efes in Turkey seeks a Data Scientist Supervisor to lead advanced analytics across commercial, customer, supply chain, and operations.

You will own data science initiatives from problem definition to production handover, collaborating with the Data Team and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and measurable analytical solutions.

The role requires 6–8 years of experience, strong Python/SQL skills, and a track record of production ML; FMCG experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field.
• 6-8 years of hands-on experience in Data Science, ML, or Advanced Analytics.
• Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
• Solid understanding of statistics, supervised/unsupervised learning, feature engineering, validation, and evaluation.
• Experience with large-scale datasets and cloud platforms.
• Proven end-to-end, production‑oriented ML solutions that deliver business value.
• Ability to translate business requirements into measurable analytical solutions and manage data science projects.
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, MLOps, and model lifecycle management.
• Experience in FMCG, retail, or consumer goods is a plus.
• Knowledge of MLflow and Azure Databricks is a plus.

We are hiring a Data Scientist Supervisor!

What does a Data Scientist Supervisor do at Anadolu Efes?

As a Data Scientist Supervisor, you will be part of our Data organization and play a key role in developing advanced machine learning and analytical solutions that support commercial, customer, supply chain, and operational decision-making.

You will take end-to-end ownership of data science initiatives, from business problem definition and exploratory analysis to model development, experimentation, validation, and production handover. You will work closely with other members of the Data Team as well as business stakeholders to deliver scalable and measurable analytical solutions.

• Translate complex business problems into machine learning, statistical, optimization, or causal analytics problems,
• Develop predictive and prescriptive models across a wide range of use cases, including customer segmentation, campaign targeting, next-best-action and next-best-offer, recommendation systems, demand and sales forecasting, anomaly detection, and optimization,
• Perform exploratory data analysis and feature engineering on large-scale transactional, behavioral, and time-series datasets,
• Develop, validate, deploy, operationalize, and monitor machine learning models, including custom algorithms and analytical approaches for problems that cannot be addressed through traditional methods,
• Design robust validation, backtesting, A/B testing, treatment-control, and experimentation frameworks,
• Develop uplift modeling and causal inference approaches to measure the incremental impact of campaigns and interventions,
• Evaluate models based on technical performance and business impact, performing model explainability, feature importance, error analysis, and ongoing performance monitoring,
• Build reusable analytical frameworks, feature sets, and modeling components,
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to create reliable analytical datasets and feature pipelines,
• Conduct code and methodology reviews and support the technical development of other Data Scientists,
• Communicate analytical findings, recommendations, and business implications to relevant stakeholders,
• Continuously evaluate emerging machine learning, deep learning, optimization, and AI technologies.

What are the qualifications we look for in a Data Scientist Supervisor at Anadolu Efes?

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Computer Engineering, Operations Research, or a related quantitative field,
• 6-8 years of hands-on experience in Data Science, Machine Learning, Advanced Analytics, or a related field,
• Strong programming skills in Python and solid working knowledge of SQL,
• Strong understanding of statistics and probability, supervised and unsupervised learning, feature engineering, model and cross-validation, hyperparameter optimization, experimentation, and model evaluation,
• Experience working with large-scale datasets and cloud-based analytical platforms,
• Proven experience in designing and delivering end-to-end, production-oriented machine learning solutions that create measurable business value,
• Ability to translate business requirements into measurable analytical solutions and independently manage data science projects from design through delivery,
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills,
• Experience with Git-based development, CI/CD practices, MLOps, and model lifecycle management,
• Experience in FMCG, retail, or consumer goods industries is a plus,
• Experience with MLflow and Azure Databricks is a plus,
• Familiarity with Generative AI, foundation models, and deep learning frameworks is a plus.
