Job summary

Aydınlı Group, a leading Turkish fashion retailer, seeks a Data Analytics & Data Science Specialist to translate business needs into data-driven solutions. You will analyze requirements across product planning, allocation, and e-commerce, and build data models, dashboards, and forecasting tools using Python and SQL.

You will own end-to-end projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and stay ahead of analytical methods to drive operational decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years in data analytics, data science, or related field.
• Hands-on experience in data analysis, modeling, and algorithm development with Python.
• Advanced proficiency in T-SQL and Microsoft SQL Server; large datasets.
• Experience in data preparation, feature engineering, modeling, and evaluation.
• Strong knowledge of statistical modeling, ML, and optimization techniques.
• Ability to translate business requirements into analytical problems.
• End-to-end ownership of at least two projects.

Responsibilities

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Analyze business requirements across various functions, particularly product planning, allocation, and e-commerce, and develop appropriate data science and analytics solutions,
• Manage the preparation, analysis, and transformation of large datasets for modeling purposes using Python and T-SQL,
• Design and develop models and algorithms using statistical modeling, machine learning, optimization, and rule-based approaches based on the nature of business problems,
• Develop optimization models, decision-support systems, and intelligent algorithms for allocation and planning processes,
• Build analytical solutions for forecasting, segmentation, classification, recommendation systems, and other business needs,
• Evaluate and optimize the performance of developed models and algorithms using appropriate metrics, ensuring their applicability under real-world business conditions,
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate developed solutions into existing systems and business processes,
• Monitor the performance of deployed models and algorithms, identify improvement opportunities, and implement necessary enhancements,
• Stay up to date with emerging analytical methodologies and technologies, evaluating and applying relevant innovations to business challenges.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related quantitative field,
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in data analytics, data science, or related fields,
• Strong hands-on experience in data analysis, modeling, and algorithm development using Python,
• Advanced proficiency in T-SQL / Microsoft SQL Server, with the ability to write complex queries and efficiently work with large datasets,
• Experience in data preparation, feature engineering, analytical modeling, model validation, and performance evaluation,
• Strong theoretical knowledge and practical experience in statistical modeling, machine learning, and optimization techniques,
• Ability to translate business requirements into analytical or mathematical problems, identify appropriate solution approaches, and evaluate alternative methodologies,
• Proven experience in taking end-to-end ownership of at least two projects, covering problem definition, data preparation, model or algorithm development, results evaluation, and integration into business processes,
• Ability to evaluate, compare, and optimize model and algorithm performance using appropriate metrics while assessing feasibility within business rules and operational constraints,
• Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and research skills,
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain technical concepts and developed solutions to different business stakeholders,
• Good command of written and spoken English.
