Job summary

Mirsis Bilgi Teknolojileri is seeking a skilled Data Scientist to join a client in the banking sector in Azerbaijan. You will analyze large datasets, build and deploy models, and collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams to translate business needs into data-driven solutions.

You will design experiments, build end-to-end ML workflows, and communicate insights to stakeholders while continuously improving models and processes in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or related quantitative field (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
• 3+ years of professional experience in data science, ML, analytics, or related role.
• Strong Python experience with Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn or similar libraries, and solid statistics knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex and large-scale datasets to identify patterns, trends and business insights.
• Develop, validate, and deploy statistical models and ML solutions to address business challenges.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, business, and data teams to translate needs into data-driven solutions.
• Design and conduct experiments, including A/B tests, to evaluate product improvements.
• Build and maintain data science workflows from data prep to model deployment and monitoring.
• Apply ML techniques to forecasting, classification, recommendation, segmentation and other use cases.
• Communicate findings and model outcomes clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Continuously improve models and analytics processes to enhance accuracy and business impact.
• Contribute to data science best practices, coding standards, and reproducible workflows.
