Job summary

Partner company in Turkey seeks a Head of Data Science & Credit Risk to lead ML-powered underwriting and risk decisioning across markets. You will own the full lifecycle of risk models, from development to monitoring, while shaping credit policies and portfolio health.

You will mentor a team of data scientists and risk analysts, collaborate with Engineering, Product, Finance, and executives, and drive sustainable growth through data-driven strategies and responsible lending practices.

Qualifications

• Lead data science and credit risk function across markets.
• Build and mentor a high-performing risk analytics team.
• Develop and deploy ML models for underwriting and risk decisioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, testing, deployment, and monitoring of ML models for credit decisioning and risk segmentation.
• Develop underwriting algorithms using alternative data sources to expand access.
• Build real-time scoring models across markets and products.
• Establish model governance, monitoring, and drift detection.
• Lead MLOps practices for deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Define credit risk frameworks, policies, and segmentation approaches.
• Track portfolio health and establish early-warning indicators.
• Drive policy and model changes with A/B testing and KPI-based refinement.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Finance to translate insights into outcomes.
• Establish partnerships with data providers and credit bureaus.
