Job summary

Medtec Information Technologies in Istanbul (Ümraniye) seeks a Data Scientist to design and maintain data pipelines, wrangle data, and develop insights for business stakeholders. You will work with MSSQL and MongoDB, build dashboards, and collaborate with the development team to improve data processes.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years in data science, strong Python skills, experience with Airflow, Docker, and Linux, and familiarity with cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 4+ years in data science role.
• Proficiency in Python with libraries such as pandas, NumPy, and scikit-learn.
• Experience with MSSQL and MongoDB.
• Familiarity with Apache Airflow.
• Basic Docker knowledge.
• Linux experience for data processing.
• Experience creating data reports and visualizations for stakeholders.
• Experience using Git for version control.
• Cloud platforms familiarity (AWS, GCP, or Azure) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of PowerBI or matplotlib/seaborn.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Apache Airflow.
• Perform data wrangling to clean and structure datasets for analysis and reporting.
• Work with MSSQL and MongoDB to query, manipulate, and store data.
• Build and optimize data pipelines to automate ETL tasks.
• Prepare reports, visualizations, and dashboards for stakeholders.
• Collaborate with development team to implement solutions and improve data processes.
• Ensure the reliability, scalability, and efficiency of data workflows.
• Work with Docker to containerize applications and improve deployment consistency.
• Maintain and support systems and applications running on Linux environments.
