Job summary

Global Roles seeks a proactive Project Associate to support the Project Manager in delivering EU Partnership for Local Climate Action in Türkiye. You will assist in planning, implementation, and reporting for climate adaptation activities and liaising with stakeholders.

The role requires coordination with public institutions, municipalities, civil society, and donors; Turkish and English fluency; strong MS Office skills; and ability to organize hybrid/in-person/online events and manage project

Qualifications

• Secondary education is not explicitly required but higher education is considered; degree in related fields encouraged.
• Minimum 4 years of progressively responsible administrative experience with a bachelor’s degree; 7 years with only a high school diploma.

Responsibilities

• Support the preparation of AWPs and budgets.
• Provide general administrative support to ensure smooth project management.
• Provide project logistic support for trainings, workshops, and site visits.
• Support budget expenditure control by preparing payment and travel documents and reviewing financial reports.
• Maintain inventories of non-expendable equipment.
• Maintain regular contact with project experts and consultants.
• Provide English translation as required.
• Arrange travel, visa support, transportation, and accommodation for foreign experts.
• Support implementation and monitoring of site-based joint activities with local stakeholders.
• File and archive project documents.
• Plan activities according to AWP and budget.
• Organize steering committee meetings and site visits.
• Monitor timetable and contractor performance; propose corrective actions.
• Prepare APR inputs and compile project reports.
• Draft correspondence and other documentation.
• Prepare procurement documents (ToR, RFP, RFQ, ITB).
• Assist in evaluating bids and selecting experts/consultants.
• Prepare documents related to the HACT framework (Direct Payments).
• Assist in defining expectations and deliverables for experts and companies.
• Support review of technical reports submitted by contractors.
• Ensure deliverables align with ToRs.
