Job summary

European Tech Recruit is seeking an experienced Senior Chip Applications Engineer to lead lab validation and release of advanced chip products. The role spans post-silicon testing, hardware/software development, debugging, documentation, and cross-functional project delivery.

You will work with chip designers from tape-out to mass production release, creating validation plans, building test environments, and producing clear validation reports.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Bachelor's degree with substantial relevant experience considered.
• Strong knowledge of electronic circuits, including digital and analogue analysis.
• Practical PCB design experience, especially mixed-signal or RF circuits.
• Programming ability in Python, LabVIEW, or C.
• Comfort with laboratory equipment (oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, multimeters).
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective cross-functional communication.
• Experience producing technical documents.
• Customer-focused approach with good listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed validation strategies and test plans from chip specs and design requirements.
• Build lab test environments with evaluation boards, hardware, and automated test software.
• Perform functional and performance testing to verify design targets.
• Produce validation reports documenting methods, results and conclusions.
• Collaborate with design engineers to identify defects and root causes and recommend solutions.
• Provide design-for-testability guidance during chip development.
• Develop and maintain chip datasheets and technical documentation.
• Support probing, final-test, and reliability-testing efforts.
• Contribute to customer support, field applications, and product-definition activities.
• Coordinate project execution from tape-out through validation and mass production release.
