Job summary

PHINIA Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer to support OEMs in the automotive aftermarket and fuel systems space. The role focuses on containment, root-cause analysis, and driving corrective actions across cross-functional teams.

You will ensure PPAP timelines, participate in internal and supplier audits, and contribute to the continuous improvement program using FMEA and APQP methodologies.

Qualifications

• Graduated from Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical or Automotive Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Managing Customer complaints and warranty for OEM (Containment, Root Cause Analysis with 8D report)
• Tracking effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions
• Initiating/tracking third-party containment activities when required
• Supporting Customer Change/Deviation communication processes
• Managing on-time PPAP submission and coordinating related functions
• Preparing for Internal/Customer Audits
• Internal auditing based on IATF 16949 or VDA 6.3
• Supporting APQP and P-FMEA/R-FMEA processes
• Helping to achieve quality KPIs
