Job summary

CHERY is seeking a Damage Management professional to oversee damage incidents across import, stockyard, and dealer shipments. You will track damages, manage claims with insurers, and coordinate with accounting on costs and depreciation, while driving process improvements and cost reductions.

The role requires 2–4 years in damage management or logistics in the automotive sector, with strong Excel/PowerPoint skills and insurance process knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-4 years of experience in damage management, quality, or logistics within the automotive industry.
• Knowledge of damage assessment, reporting, and claim management processes.
• Proficient in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and other reporting tools.
• Good knowledge of insurance processes (surveyors/experts, claim file management, compensation procedures).

Responsibilities

• Detecting and tracking vehicle damages occurring during import, stockyard, and dealer shipment processes
• Managing and improving damage-related processes with logistics suppliers
• Conducting detailed inspections of damaged vehicles and preparing root cause analyses
• Reporting vehicles arriving damaged during import operations and sharing reports with relevant departments
• Opening, monitoring, and finalizing damage claim files with insurance companies
• Coordinating with the accounting department regarding damage costs, depreciation, and compensation processes
• Preparing regular damage reports and presenting them to senior management
• Developing process improvement and cost reduction recommendations
