UPM - The Biofore Company in İstanbul, Türkiye is seeking an Automation Engineer to maintain and develop automation systems across our manufacturing lines. You will work with Siemens PLCs and WinCC HMIs, driving reliability and process improvements in a global team.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in automation engineering, strong Siemens expertise, and good English communication. This full-time role is based on site in Istanbul and offers development opportunities within a

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Electrical, Mechatronics or related field.
5+ years in Automation Engineering or related field.
Experience in industrial automation maintenance in manufacturing.
Hands-on Siemens PLC programming and troubleshooting (Step 7, TIA Portal).
Experience with Siemens WinCC and industrial networks.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills; proactive and safety-minded.
Good English communication skills.
Experience with drives, motor control, and process industries is a plus.

Responsibilities

Maintain, troubleshoot, and develop Siemens PLC and HMI systems (Step 7, TIA Portal and WinCC).
Diagnose and resolve automation faults to minimize downtime on labelstock machinery.
Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve reliability.
Collaborate with local and international colleagues to implement process improvements.
Provide technical support and training to maintenance technicians.
