Job summary

Randstad Türkiye is seeking an Automation Engineer for our global partner in Kahramankazan, near Ankara. You will focus on automation and production systems, developing and implementing new and improved manufacturing processes with a systems perspective.

You will manage cross-functional projects, work with MES/SCADA/PDM interfaces, and ensure compliance with MDR/FDA-like quality requirements. Strong programming skills and knowledge of Siemens SIMATIC are essential, as is fluent English.

Qualifications

• Academic background in Automation or related field.
• Experience in production development focusing on control systems.
• Hands-on programming experience.
• Experience developing technical specifications and collaborating with external suppliers.
• Experience in technical project management.
• Experience in testing/validation in regulated environments (life science or similar).
• Knowledge of SQL databases and Siemens Simatic PLC/HMI/SCADA platforms.
• Knowledge of ISA 95 and ISA 88 is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal English communication.

Job description

We are looking for an 'Automation Engineer' for our global partner!
We are seeking a skilled Automation Engineer to focus on Automation and Production systems. In this role, you will play a key role in the development and implementation of new and improved production processes based in Kahramankazan, Ankara.
Manage Industrial IT/automation projects within cross-functional development teams across various stages, from concept to commissioning and handover.
Handle design, risk, and requirements, as well as testing and validation of control systems for Medical Device production.
Develop documentation in compliance with quality management systems built on regulatory requirements from the European Medical Device Regulation (MDR) and FDA quality system regulations.
Integrate machine lines and components with a systems perspective on process control, traceability, and communication with MES/SCADA and PDM systems.
Contribute to the digitization strategy, including data collection for analysis and application development.
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, including supplier evaluations and site visits.

An academic background, preferably in Automation, Electrical/Computer Engineering, or an equivalent field.
Experience in production development with a strong focus on control systems in manufacturing.
In-depth understanding of industrial control systems and hands-on programming experience.
Proven experience in developing technical specifications and collaborating with external suppliers.
Experience in technical project management.
Experience in testing and validation, preferably within life science or another highly regulated industry.
Knowledge of SQL databases and PLC/HMI/SCADA platforms (preferably Siemens Simatic products).
Knowledge of ISA 95 and ISA 88 standards is considered a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
