Job summary

YEO in Kartal, Istanbul, seeks a highly skilled Accounting Specialist with at least 3 years of professional experience in accounting. You will manage month-end closing, financial reporting, and general accounting operations within our energy sector projects.

The role requires proficiency in tax legislation, ERP (Canias), advanced Excel, and English communication. CPA (SMMM) is preferred. You will coordinate audits, support VAT refunds, and work with overseas subsidiaries.

Qualifications

• Graduated from relevant university departments (Economics, Business Administration, Finance, etc.).
• Minimum 3 years of professional accounting experience.
• Proficient in general accounting, tax legislation, and financial reporting.
• CPA (SMMM) certificate preferred.
• Excellent analytical thinking and results-oriented approach.
• Advanced English communication skills (written and spoken).
• Proficiency with MS Office, strong Excel skills.
• Familiar with Uniform Chart of Accounts and Canias ERP.
• Experience with e-invoice, e-archive and e-export processes.
• Knowledgeable about currency valuation transactions.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end closing processes, financial reporting, and general accounting operations.
• Prepare and review financial statements, budgets, cash flow analyses, and management reports.
• Coordinate reporting and reconciliation for overseas subsidiaries and convert local accounts to the Turkish UCA.
• Record and monitor import/export transactions, intercompany reconciliations, and daily entries.
• Ensure tax compliance, support VAT refunds and tax declarations, maintain records.
• Coordinate audits and provide documentation for regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate with foreign accounting consultants to secure monthly statements from international branches.
• Support overseas branch and company establishment processes and official reporting.
• Monitor insurance policies, account reconciliations, and related administrative tasks.

Qualifications

• Graduated from relevant departments of universities (Economics, Business Administration, Finance, etc.)
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in accounting
• Proficient in general accounting, tax legislation, and financial reporting
• Preferably holds a CPA (SMMM) certificate
• Excellent analytical thinking skills and a results-oriented approach
• Advanced English communication skills, both written and spoken
• Proficiency with MS Office applications, with a strong emphasis on Excel
• Skilled in the Uniform Chart of Accounts
• Experienced in using ERP (Canias) systems effectively
• Experienced with e-invoice, e-archive invoice, and e-export invoice processes
• Knowledgeable about currency valuation transactions

Job Description

• Record and monitor import/export transactions, intercompany reconciliations, and daily accounting entries
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, support VAT refund and tax declaration processes, and maintain accurate financial records
• Coordinate independent audits, provide required documentation, and support regulatory compliance activities
• Coordinating with foreign accounting consultants to secure monthly financial statements and ledgers from international branches and subsidiaries
• Support overseas branch and company establishment processes, as well as official reporting and certification requirements
• Monitor insurance policies, account reconciliations, and other accounting-related administrative processes
