Responsibilities

• Process and record vendor invoices in SAP.
• Support vendor master data maintenance and reimbursements.

• Prepare and post entries for operating expenses and banking.
• Support fixed asset accounting, depreciation, and capitalization.
• Handle import-related accounting including VAT reconciliations.
• Perform bank reconciliations and cash management support.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.

We are currently seeking an Accounting Associate to join the finance team in Türkiye. Key Responsibilities

• Process and record vendor invoices, including PO and non-PO invoices, in SAP.
• Support vendor master data maintenance, invoice adjustments, and reimbursement processes.
• Monitor purchase orders and coordinate with stakeholders regarding renewals and updates.
• Prepare and post accounting entries related to operating expenses, banking transactions, foreign currency activities, and statutory payments.
• Support fixed asset accounting processes, including capitalization, asset maintenance, and depreciation activities.
• Manage import-related accounting transactions, including import costs, customs-related expenses, and VAT reconciliations.
• Perform bank reconciliations and monitor clearing accounts, ensuring timely resolution of outstanding items.
• Support tax, social security, and statutory compliance activities, including responses to audits and tax authority requests.
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, account reconciliations, accruals, and prepaid expense accounting.
• Review outstanding payments and support efficient cash management processes.
• Support internal and external audit requirements by preparing documentation, reconciliations, and explanations as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, enhance controls, and support SAP-related automation and finance transformation initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 3-4 years of accounting or finance experience.
• Knowledge of Turkish accounting regulations and financial processes.
• Understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting principles.
• Experience with SAP FI and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a multinational company environment.
• Experience working with a Shared Service Center (SSC) or Global Business Services (GBS) organization.
• Previous experience in the healthcare, pharmaceutical or life sciences industry is preferred.
• Prior experience in a Big Four accounting or audit firm is preferred.
• Exposure to SAP process improvements, automation, or finance transformation projects.
