IT System Engineer
Job summary
A technology solutions provider in Singapore is seeking an IT Support Specialist to manage and support its IT infrastructure. The role involves daily health checks, end-user support, and documentation. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in IT operations and be familiar with RHEL, firewalls, and network setups. A diploma or degree in IT is required, along with strong problem-solving skills.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years’ working experience in IT Infrastructure / IT Operations / Application Support.
- Strong working experience in RHEL, Firewalls, and Hypervisor/Containerization.
- Intermediate knowledge on network setup (VLAN, IPSec VPN, SDWAN, Routing protocol etc).
Responsibilities
- Perform daily applications & system health checks.
- Manage and support company's IT infrastructure.
- Provide end user devices support for internal staff.
- Prepare and maintain documentations on IT assets, network diagrams, system configurations.
- Deploy application releases to UAT & Production.
- Liaise with customer's IT personnel to identify problems and provide solutions.
- Provide call-support and on-site support whenever necessary.
Skills
Education

- Prepare and maintain proper documentations on IT assets, network diagrams, system
configurations etc - Deploying application releases to UAT & Production environment
- Liaise with customer's IT personnel to identify problems and provide solutions
- Provide call-support and on-site support whenever necessary
- Document and track incidents with root cause analysis, corrective and preventive
actions - Occasional after office hours and weekend support is required (Off in lieu provided)
- Any other tasks assigned
- Diploma or Degree in IT
- Minimum 2 years’ working experience in IT Infrastructure / IT Operations / Application Support. More qualified candidates will be considered for senior positions.
- Strong working experience in RHEL ,Firewalls, Hypervisor/Containerization
- Intermediate knowledge on network setup ( VLAN, IPSec VPN, SDWAN, Routing protocol etc)
- Able to work independently with good initiative and willingness to take on responsibility
- Possess RHCSA/RHCE certification will be an added advantage
- Some development experience with HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, JSP, JAVA, Unix shell script or JQuery will be advantageous
- Working experience in CI/CD implementation will be an added advantage
- Working experience in Oracle and MySQL database will be an added advantage
- Working experience in Financial Services environment will be an added advantage
