Job summary

BUSINESS EDGE PERSONNEL SERVICES PTE LTD is seeking a Youth Worker in Singapore to serve as the first point of contact for student management within the school’s restorative practice framework. You will build positive relationships with students facing behavioural challenges and support the SM Committee through timely intervention.

The role focuses on early prevention, de-escalation, and restorative conversations, while maintaining confidential documentation and collaborating with teaching staff

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree required with at least 2 years experience in youth work.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.
• Experience with secondary school students and classroom management preferred.
• Ability to build rapport with youths from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Act as first point of contact for student management issues within the restorative framework.
• Conduct initial assessment of behavioural incidents and assist students to write incident reports.
• Implement de-escalation strategies and consult with the SM Committee on responses.
• Facilitate restorative conversations and mediate conflicts following incidents.
• Engage and build trust with students to provide proactive support and prevent issues.
• Document interventions and maintain confidential records in accordance with school policies.
