Job summary

V-SWIFT PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks an experienced Youth Engagement Specialist to support student safety and well-being within a school setting. You will act as a first responder for incidents, de-escalate conflicts, and assist teachers with behaviour and peer-relationship management.

The role focuses on corrective actions, preventive interventions, and close collaboration with parents and external agencies to ensure consistent, dignified discipline and proactive student development.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years' relevant experience in youth engagement within school settings.

Responsibilities

• Lead fact-finding and investigations of student misconduct and bullying.
• De-escalate situations to maintain a safe learning environment.
• Support teachers in managing behavioural and peer-relationship issues.
• Conduct home visits with the Student Development Team to assess risky behaviours.
• Supervise students on development programmes (GEAR UP, SENC).
• Facilitate timely communication with parents/guardians and engage external agencies when needed.
• Document case findings accurately and maintain records of student interventions.

The Services required areset out as follows:

Immediate Support

• to serve as first responderfor student management incidents and matters that compromise the safety ofmembers of the school


• to de-escalate situationswith the student(s) to ensure a safe and conducive learning environment


• to render immediate supportto teachers in managing students' behaviourial and peer-relationship issues

Corrective Approach

• to lead in fact-finding andinvestigations of student misconduct and bullying cases, in line with schoolguidelines and processes


• to discipline students withrespect and treat them with dignity


• to recommend and implementfollow-up actions (detention, corrective work order, in-school suspension) formisconduct in line with the school policy

Preventive and RestorativeInterventions

• to conduct Home visits with amember of the Student Development Team to reach out to students to assess riskybehaviours


• to conduct periodicneighbourhood patrol to ensure that students conduct themselves well beyondschool compounds


• to supervise students placedon Student Development Programmes (GEAR UP Programme, Special Education NeedProgramme)


• to facilitate timely andeffective communication with parents/ guardians relating to


• to engage parents on thenecessary preventive and restorative interventions for the student(s) suggestedby School


• to partner external agencies,including the Singapore Police Force, the Ministry of Social and FamilyDevelopment and Family Service Centres (where necessary)


• to review disciplinary trends


• to suggest proactivecharacter development initiatives to the Student Development Team (leverage onexisting programmes)

Administrative andOperations Support

• to assist with fact-findinginto cases (interviews with students, watching CCTV) and process the cases withthe Student Guidance Team


• to document case findingsaccurately and maintain proper records on student interventions, so as toensure parity and continuity of care


• to update student recordsinto the school intranet system


• to providethe administrative support, where necessary

Qualification:

The Personnel shall have atleast 3 years' relevant experience in youth engagement, especially in thecontext of school, managing students with social emotional issues and/orlearning difficulties.
