Job summary

RECRUIT NOW SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking an experienced WWTP Process Engineer to oversee operation, monitoring, optimization and continuous improvement of industrial and hazardous wastewater treatment processes at the Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP).

The role provides technical judgement, process troubleshooting, and engineering support to ensure stable treatment performance, compliance with discharge standards, and operational efficiency in a plant-based, on-site setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Applied Chemistry, Biotechnology or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in industrial wastewater or hazardous wastewater treatment.
• Hands-on experience with AOP, biological treatment, and membrane processes (MBR).
• Ability to interpret wastewater quality parameters (COD, BOD, SS, oil & grease, toxicity) and adjust operations.
• Experience with bench-scale testing, jar tests, and pilot trials.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and data interpretation skills.
• Good communication with operations, laboratory, technicians, and management.
• Ability to work in a plant-based, on-site environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and optimize industrial and hazardous wastewater treatment systems daily.
• Provide technical evaluation of new wastewater streams and pretreatment requirements.
• Perform RCA and implement CAPA to resolve process issues.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and process documentation; monitor control limits.
• Ensure compliance with EHS requirements and environmental discharge standards.
