Job summary

JP Nelson Equipment Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Workshop Supervisor to support the Workshop Manager in planning, organizing, directing and controlling workshop operations.

The role includes coordinating shipments with shipping agents, issuing DOs and invoices, servicing and repairing equipment, issuing work orders, ensuring ISO quality compliance, safety, and liaising with customers and port handlers to hand over equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist workshop Manager to plan, organize, direct and control workshop operations.
• Coordinate and arrange incoming shipments with shipping agents/forwarders to ensure timely container arrivals.
• Prepare and issue DOs, invoices, and shipping documentation.
• Be in charge of servicing and repairing equipment.
• Source and submit quotations for repairing units.
• Issue work orders to supervisors and monitor completion per customer requirements.
• Ensure the workshop complies with ISO quality manual and prevent non-conformity.
• Ensure lawful compliance with company laws and statutory requirements.
• Maintain safety measures and a safe working environment in the workshop.
• Liaise between customers and forwarders on shipment activities and hand over equipment to port handlers.

Job description

To assist workshop Manager to plan, organize, direct and control the workshop operation.

Coordinating and arrangement of incoming shipment with shipping agents/forwarders, to ensure that Containers are arrived on time.

Preparation and issue of DO, Invoices, and shipping documentations.

To be In-charge of servicing & repairing equipment.

To source and submit quotation for repairing unit.

Issuing of work order to supervisor and monitor the works are carried out in accordance to customer requirements.

Ensure the workshop comply to ISO quality manual, effective application of ISO system and preventive of non-conformity.

Ensure the workshop is in compliance with the company Law & Act or statutory requirement.

Ensure all safety measure are comply in workshop and to maintain safe working environment.

To liaise between customers and forwarders on the shipments activities and ensure that the equipment are delivered and properly handover to port handler.
