Job summary

DIRECT SEARCH ASIA PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Workshop Supervisor to oversee materials, job orders, and resource allocation, coordinating with the Workshop GM, Planners, and Quality teams.

You will lead chargehands and technicians, ensure tools are maintained and calibrated, uphold safety, quality, and continuous improvement, and report on progress and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Work with the Workshop GM, Planners, and Quality teams to manage materials, job orders, and resource allocation.
• Ensure workshop tools and equipment are used, maintained, and calibrated in accordance with established processes.
• Promote and enforce safety norms, cleanliness standards, and PPE compliance in the workshop.
• Lead and coach chargehands and technicians to improve their technical abilities and performance.
• Supervise and organize daily activities to ensure production runs on time and meets quality requirements.
• Assign tasks and resources to chargehands and technicians to achieve job priorities and deadlines.
• Monitor and inspect job progress to verify it complies with technical specifications, quality standards, and safety regulations.
• Provide technical information and help to overcome routine issues during repair, overhaul, and assembly operations.
• Verify work completion and generate any required reports, documentation, and records.
