Job summary

Private Advertiser in Singapore is seeking a Workshop/Fleet Technician to monitor vehicle mileage, plan servicing, and keep comprehensive maintenance records. The role involves coordinating with mechanics, scheduling repairs, and ensuring timely service to keep the fleet operational.

You will also manage spare parts inventory, assist with workshop activities, and ensure documentation and part replenishment are handled efficiently to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record vehicle mileage and maintain up-to-date servicing and maintenance records.
• Plan and schedule routine servicing, preventive maintenance, inspections and repair work based on mileage and vehicle condition.
• Coordinate daily with mechanics on vehicles entering the workshop, repair requirements, work progress and estimated completion.
• Follow up on outstanding repairs and help ensure vehicles are repaired efficiently and returned to operation as soon as practical.
• Receive and record drivers' reports on vehicle defects, breakdowns and maintenance issues, and arrange the necessary workshop follow-up.
• Assist in facilitating workshop activities, including arranging vehicles, repair jobs, parts and other resources needed by mechanics.
• Maintain spare-parts inventory, including receiving parts, issuing parts, recording stock movement and monitoring stock balance.
• Highlight low-stock or frequently used spare parts and assist with replenishment or purchase requests.
• Maintain proper documentation for servicing, repairs, spare parts, job records and other workshop-related records.
• Keep management / operations updated on vehicle repair status, vehicles awaiting parts, major defects and expected downtime.
• Assist with workshop housekeeping and ensure tools, parts and work areas are properly organised.
• Carry out other workshop and fleet-support duties assigned by management when required.
