Job summary

MENTA DEVELOPMENT PTE. LTD. seeks a Workshop Supervisor to oversee vehicle inspections, coordinate repairs, and manage procurement of parts and tools in our workshop in Singapore.

You will assign tasks based on skill, monitor production output, ensure safety, and handle budget for materials while driving continuous improvements in operation methods and quality control. Strong communication and leadership are essential to supervise a diverse team and meet tight timelines.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent required; relevant experience considered.
• 2 years' experience with construction equipment.
• Strong communication and people management skills.
• Experience supervising workers; automotive knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee inspection of motor vehicles to identify faulty components and coordinate repairs.
• Oversee procurement of vehicle parts and workshop equipment.
• Assign and schedule work duties according to workers' skills.
• Ensure safe and efficient day-to-day workshop operations.
• Manage budgets for materials, fixings, and tools to support projects.
• Coordinate schedules, monitor output and lead times, ensure quality control.
• Identify procedures to improve operation methods and product quality.
• Monitor manpower overtime based on production plan.
• Maintain safe work environment and safety adherence.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with analytical thinking.
• Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned.

Job Description

• Oversee the inspection of motor vehicles to identify faulty components and facilitate the process of repairs
• Oversee the procurement of vehicle parts, automotive equipment, and various other items required in the workshop
• Assign and schedule work duties to motor vehicle service workers according to their skills
• Responsible for the day to day, safe and efficient running of the workshop.
• Responsible for budgets for the purchase of materials, fixings, and fastenings and machine tools to ensure smooth progression of projects through the workshop.
• Coordinating schedules, monitoring production output & lead time, maintaining other production standards and ensuring quality control.
• Identify and initiative procedures to improve operation methods, product quality and production deliveries, including product innovations and improvement.
• Monitor, analyze and arrange manpower overtime base on production plan.
• Responsible for safe work environment and safety procedure adherence.
• Possess strong analytical thinking skills to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues independently.
• Any other ad hoc duties assigned

Job Requirements

• Candidates must possess at least a Diploma or equivalent
• Candidates with relevant experience will also be considered
• 2 years' working experience with construction equipment.
• Strong communicator with good problem solving and people management skills
• Experience in supervising workers
• Candidates with strong automotive knowledge for repair and servicing
• Independent, committed and responsible
• Preferably able to start work within short notice
• Job holder without the above qualification but with relevant experience would be considered.
