Job summary

NISHIO RENT ALL SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is seeking a Workshop Operations Manager to oversee daily workshop operations, manpower planning, and scheduling in Singapore. The role requires ensuring repairs align with standards and safety rules, plus leading and mentoring workshop staff.

You will provide technical guidance, manage parts inventory, and coordinate with procurement to maintain availability of materials. A Class 3 driving license is required.

Qualifications

• Diploma graduates from Electrical or Mechanical Engineering with minimum 2 years experiences in handling diesel engine repair and maintenance at site or those who has experience working in similar rental industries is desirable.
• Meticulous person with a good communications skill for dealing with people from diverse background.
• Persistent individual who are a perfectionist at times and an efficient person at all times.
• Possess Singapore Class 3 driving license

Responsibilities

2. Safety & Compliance

• Maintain a safe work environment and ensure strict adherence to safety policies and procedures.

• Ensure compliance with all company safety rules and regulatory requirements at all times to prevent accidents or incidents.

3. Technical Support & Troubleshooting

• Provide technical guidance and support to workshop personnel.

• Recommend and implement appropriate corrective measures for mechanical or operational issues.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Ensure proper documentation of all repair and servicing work, including detailed records of parts used and labor performed.

• Maintain accurate workshop records for audit and compliance purposes.

5. Team Leadership & Supervision

• Supervise, train, and mentor workshop staff to improve skills and performance.

• Conduct performance evaluations and recommend training programs where necessary.

• Foster teamwork, discipline, and a positive working environment.

6. Inventory Management

• Monitor inventory levels of spare parts, tools, and consumables.
