Job summary

ROSA ROSSA PTE. LTD. in Singapore is seeking a Chinese Cuisine Chef to join our casual restaurant in the Orchard area. The role focuses on ramen and casual Chinese dishes, with hands-on wok cooking.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year in a professional kitchen and can work independently in a fast-paced environment, with opportunities for training, development and career progression within the group.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of professional kitchen experience.
• Must have hands-on experience in Chinese wok cooking and be able to handle a wok independently.
• Experience in Chinese cuisine or casual Chinese restaurants is preferred.
• Good knife skills and understanding of kitchen operations.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Responsible and reliable.
• Able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Able to work weekends and public holidays.
• Food hygiene certification is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook casual Chinese dishes
• Handle wok cooking independently
• Prepare wok-fried and deep-fried dishes
• Handle daily mise en place and ingredient preparation
• Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation and portioningMaintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen
• Assist with stock preparation, storage and inventory
• Follow food safety, hygiene and kitchen procedures
• Work closely with the Head Chef and other kitchen team members
