Job summary

Club Chinois in Singapore is hiring a hands-on Cook to prepare menu items according to recipes, set up stations, and maintain quality and pace in a busy kitchen.

You will manage stock, assist with receiving deliveries, perform monthly stock takes, and support a clean, organized kitchen while collaborating with a positive team.

Experience in a similar kitchen role is preferred; ability to work weekends and public holidays; strong communication and a passion for learning are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a similar kitchen role preferred.
• Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
• Able to perform split shift, work on weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards
• Set up workstations with all needed ingredients and cooking equipment
• Ensure food is prepared in a timely manner and presented according to quality standards
• Maintain a clean and organized kitchen, including equipment, utensils, and work areas
• Manage kitchen stock for daily operation and food cost control
• Assist in receiving and storing deliveries according to FIFO (First In First Out) practice
• Assist on month-end stock take
• Any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Superior from time to time
