Job summary

JOBLINE RESOURCES PTE. LTD. seeks a Windows Server administrator to design, implement, and maintain Windows-based infrastructure aligned with business needs. You will support server OS, clustering, virtualization, and backup solutions.

You will perform root cause analysis, respond to incidents, and contribute to Disaster Recovery planning and DR drills. Strong fault isolation, vendor liaison, and ability to work independently are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree or diploma in engineering or information systems.
• Deep Windows server OS troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with Windows Server 2003/2008/2012 OS and backup solutions.
• Familiarity with enterprise antivirus software.
• Knowledge of Hyper-V, VMware vSphere 4.x+.
• ITIL Foundation certified or equivalent experience.
• Automation/scripting experience and SAN storage knowledge a plus.
• Strong communication and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain Windows-based infrastructure per requirements.
• Maintain security and availability of Windows infrastructure.
• Troubleshoot Windows OS incidents per customer processes.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis for OS service problems.
• Coordinate with support vendors for maintenance and issue resolution.
• Support Windows Server systems, clustering software, and management agents.
• Analyze historical usage for CPU, memory, I/O, and storage trends.
• Implement capacity improvement plan.
• Develop and maintain Technical Disaster Recovery Plan and assist DR drills.
• Manage AD with GPOs, clustering, and virtualization (VMware/Hyper-V).
• Review event logs regularly.
• Manage server OS patching and security hardening.
• Write/update technical design, build and process documentation.

Job description

Responsibilities

• Implementation of Windows based infrastructure based on business requirements.
• Ongoing maintenance, security, and availability of Windows based infrastructure based on business requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve Windows OS related incidents and problems according to customer processes.
• Perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for OS related service problems as part of problem management.
• Liaise with support vendors for maintenance, support or issues resolution.
• Support Windows Server based systems, system software, clustering software and system management agents.
• Assist in analysing historical usage for tracking and trending by CPU, memory, I/O and storage.
• Implement capacity improvement plan.
• Assist in developing and maintaining the Technical Disaster Recovery Plan. Provide technical support during disaster and execute Technical Disaster Recovery plan during DR and DR drill.
• Setting up and managing Windows Active Directory experience inclusive of managing GPOs and user profiles, Windows Clustering, VMWare hosts (inclusive of VCenters) and virtual machines including all OS platforms (Linux and windows), Hyper-V and virtual machines, Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager, Netbackup and/or BackupExec, including defining backup policies based on industry standards.
• Review event logs on a regular basis based on business requirements.
• Manage the server OS patching procedure and security hardening.
• Writing/updating technical design, build and process documentations.

Requirements

• Bachelor Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering/Information System.
• Familiarity in carrying out Deep level Windows server OS troubleshooting and problem resolution
• Working experience of installation and operation of Windows Servers (2003/2008/2012) operating systems, software and backup solutions.
• Familiarity with enterprise virus protection software.
• Working knowledge in Hyper-V, VMware vSphere 4.x and above.
• ITIL Foundation certified or equivalent work experience.
• Some automation and scripting experience and SAN storage knowledge would be an advantage.
• Effective communication skills.
• Self-driven and ability to work independently.
