Job summary

SSMC is seeking a Wet Equipment Associate Engineer to join the Diffusion II, WET PM department in Singapore. You will support engineers in maintaining equipment performance, perform 12-hour shifts, and assist in PM/calibration, installation, and troubleshooting to ensure equipment readiness for production.

Fresh diploma holders are welcome, and you will work as part of a collaborative, safety-conscious team while driving continuous improvement in wafer fabrication processes.

Qualifications

• Diploma/ ITC/ NTC in Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechatronics/ Mechanical/ Microelectronics/ Chemical Process Technology (DIP/ITC/NTC).
• Strong teamwork and problem-solving abilities are essential.
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Fresh diploma holders will be considered for the role.
• Experience in electrical/electronics industries is preferred (2–5 years).

Responsibilities

• Assist engineers to improve and sustain equipment performance and meet Cpk indices.
• Support 12-hour shift duties to keep production lines ready.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and calibration on time.
• Assist installation and hookup of new equipment.
• Troubleshoot equipment-related issues to minimize downtime.
• Contribute to process improvement projects and OJT for new associates.
• Support quality programs to enhance module productivity and output.

We’re searching for a Wet Equipment Associate Engineer to be part of our Diffusion II, WET PM Department diverse team of talent.

What you will be working on

• To assist the Engineers to improve and sustain equipment performance and Cpk indices to meet operations goals
• Perform 12-hour shift duties to support the running of Production in the Module and ensure equipment readiness and worthiness for production
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance (PM) and calibration on a timely basis
• Assist Engineers in the installation and hook-up of new equipment
• Trouble-shoot equipment-related issues and minimize equipment downtime
• Assist in implementing process improvement projects
• Assist new Associate Engineers on their On-The-Job-Training (OJT) by acting as buddy
• Participate in QIT programs to improve productivity and output quality of the Module, and constantly monitor and feedback to Engineers to improve performance of equipment to meet Module objectives
• Maintain good housekeeping in the production area, ensuring good safety practice and also safe custody of tools, equipment and other properties belonging to the Module

More about you

• Diploma/ ITC/ NTC in Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechatronics/ Mechanical/ Microelectronics/ Chemical Process Technology
• At least 2 - 5 years working experience in electrical / electronics industry for Associate Engineer Position
• Fresh diploma holders will also be considered
• Able to perform 12-hour rotating shift
