Job summary

Sodexo Singapore Pte Ltd is seeking a dedicated WWTP Operations staff to manage daily plant operations at the Tuas site. The role includes 12-hour rotating shifts, shift allowances, and daily lunch provided.

You will monitor conductivity, pH and other parameters, coordinate with the lab for sampling, and ensure compliance with SOPs while supporting audit activities. Responsibilities include system optimization, PTW management, and active participation in IFM meetings.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations of WWTP facilities and maintenance of the system.
• Monitor sampling for conductivity, pH and other assigned parameters.
• Coordinate with the laboratory for test sampling (Last Inspection Chamber, environmental parameters).
• Monitor system setpoints and thresholds; implement corrective actions and escalate as needed.
• Daily inspection of the system; manage PTW (permit-to-work) system; support ECC/LOTO processes.
• Participate in IFM Tier 1 and Tier 2 meetings; work on projects as assigned by ES/IFM.
• Understand data integrity; participate in DI Gemba weekly.
• Assist in audits for WWTP area; align with ES/IPT for shutdowns or projects.
• Investigate incident reports; respond to HazOp studies; complete risk assessments.
• Analyze and troubleshoot to support operational decision making; review SOPs.

This role is responsible for:

• Manage day to day operations of WWTP facilities and maintenance of the system.

• The monitoring team shall sample and test for conductivity, pH and other assigned parameters.

• Shall work with assigned qualified laboratory for test samplings for Last Inspection Chamber (IC), environmental related parameters.

• Shall monitor the system setpoints, thresholds, and respond with corrective actions followed by escalation of any deviation or variation through the escalation processes.

• Daily inspection of the system, to manage PTW (permit-to-work) system, qualified risk assessor, to prepare ECC (energy change control) or LOTO (lock-out Tag-out) processes.

• Involved in IFM Tier 1 and Tier 2 meetings.

• Work on projects whenever assigned by ES/IFM.

• Understand DI (data integrity) importance and to involve in DI Gemba weekly.

• Responsible and participation for WWTP area for both internal and external audit inspections.

• Management of WWTP align with ES/IPT for schedule plant shutdowns or project related.

• Responsible for investigating incident reports, responding to relevant HazOp studies and completion and follow-up of specific risk assessments.

• Able to analyse and troubleshoot, draw accurate conclusions from analysis to support decision making and makes timely decisions for the operations.

• To review and adhere to SOP (standard operating procedures).

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure proper discharging according to regulatory requirements e.g. NEA and PUB.

• Accountability to the monitoring of the WWTP system and understanding of the system workflow as to ensure system optimization varying to the plant production schedule.

• Monitor the daily operational parameters and update in Tier 1 meeting.

• Perform material handling duties including forklift operation driving.

• Track, manage and report the chemical inventory for the chemical/test cell usage within the WWTP areas.

• Perform routine PM as per scheduled and raise CM in SAP if PM is unable to be complete.

• Conduct daily waste sampling and analysis.

• Conduct walkdown on WWTP facilities once every shift after hand over from previous shift. Daily logs need to be filled.

• Adhere to and comply with the company and departmental procedures, health & safety rules, and regulations, and comply with Good Housekeeping at all times.
