Job summary

SODEXO SINGAPORE PTE. LTD. is hiring for a WWTP Operations role in Singapore. The incumbent will manage day-to-day WWTP operations and maintenance, monitor key process parameters, and coordinate laboratory sampling for compliance with NEA/PUB requirements.

The position involves monitoring system setpoints, performing daily inspections, and handling permit-to-work, risk assessments, and shift work as needed. Engagement in audits and IGEM/DI activities is expected.

Qualifications

• Experience in WWTP operations is preferred.
• Willingness to perform shift work.
• Familiarity with PTW, ECC, LOTO and audit processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage day to day operations of WWTP facilities and maintenance of the system.
• Monitor sampling for conductivity, pH and other parameters.
• Coordinate testing with the assigned laboratory for Last Inspection Chamber and environmental parameters.
• Monitor system setpoints and thresholds; escalate deviations per procedures.
• Daily inspection of the system; manage PTW system and risk assessments.
• Participate in IFM Tier 1 and Tier 2 meetings; support projects by ES/IFM.
• Engage in DI data integrity activities and weekly Gemba walks.
• Support internal and external audits of WWTP area; align with ES/IPT for shutdowns.
• Investigate incident reports; review HazOp studies and risk assessments.
• Analyse data to support decision making; review SOP adherence.

Job description

This role is responsible for:

• Manage day to day operations of WWTP facilities and maintenance of the system.
• The monitoring team shall sample and test for conductivity, pH and other assigned parameters.
• Shall work with assigned qualified laboratory for test samplings for Last Inspection Chamber (IC), environmental related parameters.
• Shall monitor the system setpoints, thresholds, and respond with corrective actions followed by escalation of any deviation or variation through the escalation processes.
• Daily inspection of the system, to manage PTW (permit-to-work) system, qualified risk assessor, to prepare ECC (energy change control) or LOTO (lock-out Tag-out) processes.
• Involved in IFM Tier 1 and Tier 2 meetings.
• Work on projects whenever assigned by ES/IFM.
• Understand DI (data integrity) importance and to involve in DI Gemba weekly.
• Responsible and participation for WWTP area for both internal and external audit inspections.
• Management of WWTP align with ES/IPT for schedule plant shutdowns or project related.
• Responsible for investigating incident reports, responding to relevant HazOp studies and completion and follow-up of specific risk assessments.
• Able to analyse and troubleshoot, draw accurate conclusions from analysis to support decision making and makes timely decisions for the operations.
• To review and adhere to SOP (standard operating procedures).

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure proper discharging according to regulatory requirements e.g. NEA and PUB.
• Accountability to the monitoring of the WWTP system and understanding of the system workflow as to ensure system optimization varying to the plant production schedule.
• Monitor the daily operational parameters and update in Tier 1 meeting.
• Perform material handling duties including forklift operation driving.
• Track, manage and report the chemical inventory for the chemical/test cell usage within the WWTP areas.
• Perform routine PM as per scheduled and raise CM in SAP if PM is unable to be complete.
• Conduct daily waste sampling and analysis.
• Conduct walkdown on WWTP facilities once every shift after hand over from previous shift. Daily logs need to be filled.
• Candiddate must be open to performing shift work too
