Job summary

INTUIT RECRUITMENT PTE. LTD. is assisting a client in the Environmental Services industry to recruit a Chemical/Wastewater Treatment Technician in Tuas, Singapore. The position is permanent with transport provided and a 5.5-day work week, transitioning to 12-hour rotating shifts after three months.

You will operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment, perform inspections, support plant operations, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain records while prioritising safety and efficiency.

Qualifications

• NITEC or equivalent qualification in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Environmental Engineering, or related discipline.
• Experience in wastewater treatment, utilities, process plants, manufacturing, or industrial operations is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer applications.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain wastewater treatment equipment and plant facilities.
• Perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and basic troubleshooting to ensure equipment reliability.
• Support daily plant operations, including material transfer and operation of pumps, filtration, and separation equipment.
• Ensure all equipment, instruments, and systems are properly maintained, calibrated, and serviced.
• Monitor treatment processes to ensure compliance with environmental and regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate operational records and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Observe workplace safety procedures and maintain good housekeeping.
• Perform other operational duties as assigned.

Our esteemed client in the Environmental Services industry is seeking a Chemical/ Wastewater Treatment Technicianto join their dynamic team:

• Employment Type: Permanent
• Position: Chemical/ Wastewater Treatment Technician
• Location: Tuas (Transport provided)
• Working Hours: 5.5 days (Mon to Fri, 8am to 5pm; Sat, 8am to 12pm) – Will change to 12 hours rotating shift after 3 months
• Salary Package: Basic + OT + Shift Allowances + Transport Allowance

Job Responsibilities:

Job Requirements:

• At least NITEC, or equivalent qualification in Chemical Engineering, Biotechnology, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Experience in wastewater treatment, utilities, process plants, manufacturing, or industrial operations is advantageous.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer applications.
• Able to perform overtime and shift work when required.
• Comfortable working in an industrial plant environment.
