Job summary

SINHUA HOCK KEE TRADING (S) PTE LTD is seeking a Warehouse Assistant in Singapore to support daily warehouse operations, including picking, packing, receiving and issuing goods. You will handle stock movements, assist with inventory checks and maintain safe, orderly storage areas.

The role requires physical fitness, basic English, accuracy, and a willingness to learn. Training may be provided for suitable candidates. This is a 5.5 day work week and duties cover safety and SOP compliance.

Qualifications

• Physically fit and able to perform manual work, including lifting and moving cartons.
• Able to read and understand basic English, particularly delivery orders, labels and warehouse instructions.
• Good attention to detail, especially when picking and checking quantities.
• Responsible, punctual, hardworking and willing to learn.
• Good team player with a positive work attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily warehouse operations including picking, packing, receiving and issuing of goods.
• Pick goods accurately according to Delivery Orders, pick lists or instructions from the supervisor.
• Receive incoming goods and assist in checking quantity, condition and product details against delivery documents.
• Load and unload goods safely from delivery vehicles.
• Arrange and store goods neatly in their designated warehouse locations.
• Assist with stock counting, inventory checks and stock movement.
• Report shortages, excesses, damaged goods, discrepancies or expired/near-expiry products to the supervisor.
• Ensure proper rotation and arrangement of stocks according to company procedures.
• Maintain good warehouse housekeeping, cleanliness and organisation.
• Ensure aisles, access ways, fire exits and working areas are kept clear and safe.
• Handle warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, trolleys and other material-handling equipment safely.
• Follow all company Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) requirements and warehouse SOPs.
• Assist with loading goods for delivery and ensure goods are properly checked before being handed over to the delivery team.
• Assist with stock take and other inventory-related activities.
• Take proper care of company property, equipment and goods.
• Perform other ad hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor or management

Job Requirements

• Minimum Primary/Secondary School education or equivalent .
• Previous warehouse, logistics or distribution experience is preferred but training may be provided for suitable candidates .
• Physically fit and comfortable performing manual work, including lifting and moving cartons.
• Able to read and understand basic English, particularly delivery orders, labels and warehouse instructions.
• Able to follow instructions and work responsibly with minimal supervision.
• Good attention to detail, especially when picking and checking quantities.
• Responsible, punctual, hardworking and willing to learn.
• Good team player with a positive work attitude.
• Able to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
• Must comply with company safety rules, including the proper use of safety shoes and other required PPE .
• Forklift licence will be an advantage if the position requires forklift operation.
