Job summary

ACME Employment Agency is seeking a friendly Waiter/Waitress in Singapore to provide excellent food and beverage service and ensure a pleasant dining experience for customers.

The role involves taking orders, serving, maintaining dining area cleanliness, promoting menu items, and handling payments where required. Prior restaurant experience is an asset, but candidates willing to learn are welcome. This is a full-time on-site position in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Welcome customers warmly and assist with seating arrangements.
• Present menus and explain menu items, promotions and daily specials.
• Take customer orders accurately and enter orders into the POS system.
• Respond to customer enquiries and special requests politely.
• Handle customer feedback professionally and refer complaints to the supervisor when necessary.
• Serve food and beverages promptly and accurately.
• Check orders before serving to ensure correctness and presentation.
• Coordinate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service.
• Check on customers during meals and attend to their needs.
• Clear used plates, glasses and cutlery promptly.
• Prepare and arrange tables before service.
• Ensure tables, chairs, floors and service stations are clean and tidy.
• Reset tables after customers leave.
• Replenish cutlery, napkins, condiments and other service supplies.
• Follow the company's cleaning and hygiene procedures.
• Recommend menu items, beverages and promotions to customers.
• Assist in promoting set meals, special offers and other products.
• Provide accurate information about menu items and prices.
• Support the outlet in achieving sales and customer satisfaction targets.

5. Cashier & Order Handling

• Process customer orders and payments when required.

• Handle cash, card and electronic payment transactions accurately.

• Issue receipts and assist with daily cashier duties.

• Follow proper cash-handling and payment procedures.

6. Teamwork & Operations

• Work closely with kitchen staff, supervisors and other service crew.

• Follow instructions from supervisors and comply with company SOPs.

• Assist with opening and closing duties.

• Report customer issues, equipment problems and stock shortages to the supervisor.

• Perform other reasonable duties related to restaurant operations.

Requirements
