Job summary

CHAO YUAN PTE. LTD. in Singapore seeks a friendly Waiter/Waitress to join our front-of-house team, delivering warm and attentive service and helping guests enjoy Teochew cuisine.

You will welcome guests, take orders, serve food and beverages, and assist with table care, working with a team during peak hours. Qualifications

• Prior experience in F&B service preferred.
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Basic English and Mandarin/Teochew dialect preferred for communicating with guests and staff.

Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests in a warm, courteous manner.
• Present menus and provide recommendations, including Teochew dishes.
• Take accurate orders and relay to kitchen/bar.
• Serve food and drinks promptly and professionally.
• Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and address requests.
• Handle bill settlement and process payments accurately.
• Clear and reset tables between guests.
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the dining area.
• Communicate special requests to kitchen staff.
• Collaborate with team to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.

About Us

CHAO YUAN is a well-loved establishment specializing in authentic Teochew cuisine, known for our warm hospitality and traditional dining experience. We are looking for friendly, energetic Waiters/Waitresses to join our front-of-house team and provide excellent service to our guests.

Job Summary

The Waiter/Waitress will be responsible for welcoming guests, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring a pleasant dining experience from start to finish, while maintaining cleanliness and following restaurant service standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests in a warm, courteous manner
• Present menus and provide recommendations, including explaining Teochew dishes to guests
• Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen/bar
• Serve food and drinks promptly and professionally
• Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction and attend to additional requests
• Handle bill settlement and process payments accurately
• Clear and reset tables promptly between guests
• Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the dining area
• Assist with basic table setup and closing duties
• Communicate special requests (e.g., dietary restrictions, allergies) to kitchen staff
• Handle guest feedback or complaints politely and return to supervisor when needed
• Work as part of a team to ensure smooth restaurant operations, especially during peak hours

Requirements

• Prior experience as a waiter/waitress or in F&B service is an advantage
• Friendly, outgoing personality with good communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
• Physically fit and able to stand/walk for extended periods, and carry trays
• Team player with a positive attitude
• Willingness to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
• Basic English and Mandarin/Teochew dialect preferred (for communicating with guests and staff)
