Job summary

HSBC Holdings plc is seeking a senior VP, Treasury Operations to lead offshore teams supporting Markets Operations and oversee derivatives and cross-product services. The role requires delivering accurate processing across trade validation, settlements, reconciliations, and related controls, while coaching teams and managing risk in a global bank.

You will partner with Markets on new initiatives, drive process improvements and ensure governance with Internal/External Audit and risk stakeholders.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Business Administration or related discipline; minimum 10 years banking experience.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word); macros and Access advantageous.
• Practical automation and data mindset to reduce manual processing and strengthen controls.
• Experience using AI-enabled tools or lightweight programming in controlled operations.
• Ability to manage internal and external stakeholder relationships and deliver under pressure.
• Strong problem-solving and risk awareness.

Responsibilities

• Oversee offshore teams and external service providers supporting Markets Operations.
• Provide primary oversight for Derivatives and cross-product services including cash management, billing and reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate and timely transaction processing across trade validation, confirmations, settlements and reconciliations.
• Coach, train and develop teams on complex products and processes; promote knowledge sharing.
• Monitor risk indicators, governance forums and issue-management processes with effective controls.
• Lead control reviews for audits and risk stakeholders; track remediation actions.
• Partner with Markets on new business initiatives, system implementations and process improvements.
• Manage strategic client and stakeholder relationships and oversee outsourcing governance.
