Job summary

United Overseas Bank Ltd is seeking a senior leader to head Global Markets Operations. You will drive operational excellence, risk management and strategic initiatives across the function.

You will lead a team of operations professionals, oversee FX, Money Market, funding and treasury activities, and collaborate with Front Office, Risk, Finance, Compliance and Technology to enable growth and resilience.

Qualifications

• Degree in Banking, Finance, Economics, or Business.
• Minimum 10 years of Global Markets or Treasury Operations experience.
• Proven leadership and people management experience.
• Strong operational risk, liquidity management and regulatory knowledge.
• Experience leading transformation, automation or change initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of operations professionals, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
• Oversee operational activities across Global Markets products including FX, Money Market and funding.
• Maintain a robust risk and control framework, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
• Partner with Front Office, Risk, Finance, Compliance, Technology and other stakeholders.
• Drive transformation initiatives through process optimisation and automation.
• Manage operational, settlement and liquidity-related risks with proactive monitoring.
• Lead strategic projects including system implementations and regulatory changes.
• Provide leadership during incident management and business continuity events.
• Support talent development and succession planning.
