Job summary

Responsibilities

• Oversee offshore teams and external service providers supporting Markets Operations.
• Provide primary oversight for Derivatives and cross-product services, including Cash Management, Billing, Payables, broker fees processing and reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate and timely transaction processing across trade validation, confirmations, settlements, reconciliations, cash management and brokerage-fee processing.
• Coach, train and develop teams on complex products and processes; promote knowledge sharing and cross-team coverage.
• Monitor risk indicators, governance forums, and issue-management processes; ensure controls and guidelines are followed.
• Lead control reviews for asset classes, and coordinate with Internal/External Audit and risk stakeholders; track remediation actions.
• Partner with Markets to support new business initiatives, operating-model design, system implementations and process improvements.
• Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders; oversee outsourcing arrangements and governance.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as aVP, Treasury Operations.

In this role you will:

• Oversee offshore teams and external service providers supporting Markets Operations
• Provide primary oversight for Derivatives and cross-product services, including Cash Management, Billing, Payables, brokerage-fee processing and reconciliations, while providing backup and rotation-based coverage for FX, Money Markets, Securities, FX Options and Collateral Management
• Ensure accurate and timely transaction processing across trade validation, confirmations, settlements, reconciliations, cash management and brokerage-fee processing
• Coach, train and develop teams on complex products, operational processes and exception management, promoting knowledge sharing, consistent procedures and effective cross-team coverage
• Monitor key risk indicators, governance forums and issue-management processes, ensuring operational risks are identified, assessed and mitigated through effective controls and adherence to applicable firm guidelines
• Lead control reviews for assigned asset classes, teams and internal service providers, including preparation for and engagement with Internal Audit, External Audit and Non-Financial Risk stakeholders, and track remediation actions through to timely closure
• Partner with Markets to support new business initiatives and mandates, including new product approvals, operating-model design, system implementations, process re-engineering, continuous improvement and system enhancements
• Manage strategic client and stakeholder relationships, act as an escalation point for Relationship Managers, Sales and Traders, and oversee Markets Operations outsourcing arrangements, including annual assessments, ongoing governance and compliance with the SGH Outsourcing Framework and applicable regulatory and Group requirements.

To be successful you will need:

• University degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline, with a minimum of 10 years’ banking experience
• Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel, PowerPoint and Word; experience with macros and Microsoft Access would be advantageous
• A practical automation and data mindset, with the ability to use technology to reduce manual processing, strengthen controls and improve service outcomes
• Experience using AI-enabled tools or lightweight programming responsibly within a controlled operations environment would be valued
• Demonstrated ability to manage internal and external stakeholder relationships, improve client experience and apply strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, prioritise competing demands, meet deadlines and maintain a high level of accuracy, particularly in risk mitigation and control management
