Job summary

HSBC Singapore seeks a high-calibre leader for VP, Treasury Operations. You will oversee offshore teams and external providers, ensure timely processing across settlements, cash management and reconciliations, and collaborate with Markets on new initiatives.

Requires a finance or business degree and 10+ years of banking experience; strong MS Office skills, automation mindset, and superb stakeholder management under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• University degree in Finance, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Experience in banking, preferably in treasury or markets operations.
• Strong MS Office skills and experience with data automation.

Responsibilities

• Oversee offshore teams and external service providers supporting Markets Operations.
• Provide primary oversight for Derivatives and cross-product services, including Cash Management, Billing, Payables, broker fees processing and reconciliations.
• Ensure accurate and timely transaction processing across trade validation, confirmations, settlements, reconciliations, cash management and brokerage-fee processing.
• Coach, train and develop teams on complex products and processes; promote knowledge sharing and cross-team coverage.
• Monitor risk indicators, governance forums, and issue-management processes; ensure controls and guidelines are followed.
• Lead control reviews for asset classes, and coordinate with Internal/External Audit and risk stakeholders; track remediation actions.
• Partner with Markets to support new business initiatives, operating-model design, system implementations and process improvements.
• Manage relationships with clients and stakeholders; oversee outsourcing arrangements and governance.
