Job summary

HSBC Life in Singapore is seeking a seasoned Strategic Communications and Content professional with strong experience in the life and health insurance industry to shape and deliver internal and external communications aligned with our brand and business priorities.

The role will focus on media relations, messaging, executive profiling, crisis communications, awards submissions, and client and internal communications, requiring at least 10 years in marketing communications within the life and

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in marketing communications and content roles within the life and health insurance industry.
• Exceptional writing, editing and storytelling skills, with a strong understanding of life and health insurance products, customer needs and industry trends.
• Proven experience in internal and executive communications, marketing content development, client communication review, award submissions and pitches.
• Strong presentation and visual communication skills, including proficiency in PowerPoint and other relevant content-design tools.

Responsibilities

• Media Relations and Reputation Management - Build relationships with journalists and media outlets; manage media enquiries, interviews and briefings; monitor daily media coverage to provide reputational insights.
• Media Statements and Messaging - Develop press releases, media statements, briefing materials, key messages and Q&A's, ensuring content is accurate and aligned with messaging.
• Thought Leadership and Executive Profiling - Position the company and senior leaders as credible voices through bylined articles, speeches and industry forums.
• Issues and Crisis Communications - Maintain crisis plans, prepare holding statements and stakeholder communications, monitor risks.
• Awards and Industry Recognition - Develop an awards strategy and coordinate with stakeholders to gather data and insights.
• Client and Internal Communications - Review client-facing communications for tone and brand consistency; maintain intranet content for updates.
• Group Communications Support - Assist with financial reporting and group-wide communications.
