Job summary

DBS Bank is seeking a senior Architecture/Cloud leader to drive the Ecosystem Platform roadmap. You will guide engineering teams, define standards, and transform requirements into scalable microservices and API solutions in a Cloud/DevOps context.

The role requires hands-on leadership across architecture, delivery, and migration to cloud platforms. Experience with AWS and Java/J2EE is essential, with strong CI/CD and Agile practices.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7-10 years designing and building large-scale applications with CI/CD, pair programming and TDD.
• Experience with AWS services including EC2, S3, CloudFront, IAM, RDS, DynamoDB, CloudWatch, ECS, Lambda, API Gateway.
• Experience with Cloud Foundry Platform for development and deployment.
• Certifications in AWS, Java/J2EE, Scrum are a plus.
• Proven track record delivering delivery capability with onshore and offshore teams.
• Strong understanding of OAuth 2.0 / SAML 2.0 protocols.
• Data modelling in Relational and NoSQL databases.
• Familiar with Java Spring Framework / Spring Cloud.
• Knowledge of infrastructure components like web servers, app servers, and networking.

Responsibilities

• Drive the build out of the capabilities on the Ecosystem Platform roadmap.
• Collaborate with applications teams and architects to raise engineering quality in delivery.
• Direct architecture and development teams with hands-on guidance.
• Improve engineering practices and introduce new ones as needed.
• Create strategy and guidelines to improve software delivery with high quality.
• Define and own software standards, patterns, methodologies, and agile delivery practices.
• Project manage and allocate development capacity to scheduled tasks.
• Ensure architecture is implemented using agreed patterns with teams and architects.
• Perform POCs and develop reusable patterns and frameworks.
• Be part of a team of architects to provide fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Turn requirements into architecture and blueprints leveraging patterns and reference architectures.
• Understand business functions and design solutions around microservices and APIs in a Cloud/DevOps environment.
• Provide technical leadership through the SDLC and secure team buy-in.
• Plan and manage migration from in-house to cloud-based platform (AWS/VPC).
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture roadmaps and principles.
