Job summary

Sofitel Singapore City Centre is seeking a friendly Concierge to welcome guests, assist with luggage and taxis, and guide guests to the correct locations within the hotel.

You will provide information on hotel services, local attractions, and dining options, coordinate VIP arrivals, and ensure guest requests are fulfilled with professionalism and care. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role, preferably including 5 star experience.
• Projects professional image at all times through personal presentation / interpersonal skills.
• Desire and ability to train and develop ambassador
• Multilingual, English essential
• Initiates contacts and establishes rapport easily
• Organises time and work efficiently
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Appreciates and maintains an effective outlet for stress
• Willingness to work weekends and public holidays as part of the job role.
• Has the aptitude and willingness to undertake further development with Sofitel.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests per Sofitel standards, manage taxi queue, and assist guests with luggage.
• Provide a warm welcome and farewell to guests, guiding them to the correct location (e.g. Reception).
• Ensure luggage and belongings are recorded and sent/collected to/from the room promptly.
• Assist with car/hotel doors and guest luggage.
• Ensure timely delivery of all guest luggage.
• Explain technology and features of guest rooms.
• Exercise care and responsibility when parking guest vehicles per manual procedures.
• Know daily departing times of due-out guests and arrange taxi, shuttle, or limousine to the airport if required.
• Coordinate VIP arrivals and departures.
• Provide information on hotel services, local attractions, restaurants, doctors, sightseeing tours and related information.
• Always double confirm with the guest the exact location.
